Finally managed to try the complete Lemon Poppy Seed Cake in Jamie's book!! Woohoo!
Bought Poppy Seeds in Brisbane's Woolsworth just before we flew back. :)
Thing is, I halved the cake recipe but forgot to half the amount of poppy seeds. That's why it's too crunchy.... Hahahaha............
But it tastes great!
Dad didn't like it though - found the icing too sweet. Oops! Must be because I used water instead of lemon juice for the icing as Cyn previously said the cake was too sour.
Oh wells...
