Used the perfect sponge cake recipe + red food colouring.
Quick buttercream recipe from jasonandshawnda.com but my buttercream separated. (See the non-uniform colour)
Min loves the taste of the buttercream though!
*Update 2014*
I read that when your buttercream separates, take a little of it (maybe 1/4 cup depending on how much buttercream you actually made), microwave it for 10-15 secs till it melts. Then while whisking the rest of the buttercream, stream in the warm melted buttercream. Continue whisking till it comes together.
This tip actually works! I did it for another separated buttercream and it worked like a charm. ^^
